Major Infrastructure Project Launches in Delhi

Date:

The Indian government has officially launched the Green Metro Initiative, aiming to expand the metro network across Delhi with a focus on sustainability and eco-friendly practices. This ambitious project, announced by the Minister of Urban Development yesterday, plans to add 50 kilometers of new metro lines by the end of 2025. The initiative includes the installation of solar panels on metro stations, implementation of energy-efficient trains, and the use of recycled materials in construction. Officials expect the project to significantly reduce traffic congestion and lower the city’s carbon footprint. The Green Metro Initiative is projected to create over 10,000 jobs during its development phase.
