The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has invited bids for the construction of a six-lane, access-controlled section of the Amaravati Outer Ring Road in Andhra Pradesh under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM).
Designated as Package 1, the project will cover a stretch of 27.93 km between Kanchikacherla and Nandigama. The estimated project cost stands at ₹2,975.47 crore, making it a significant infrastructure development initiative for the region.
The proposed road is expected to improve regional connectivity, facilitate smoother traffic movement and reduce congestion along existing urban routes. Its access-controlled design will support more efficient movement of vehicles, particularly heavy and long-distance traffic, while helping bypass congested areas.
The project forms part of broader efforts to strengthen road infrastructure around Amaravati and improve transportation links across Andhra Pradesh. Once completed, the corridor is expected to enhance travel efficiency and support regional economic activity by improving connectivity between key locations.
NHAI has set November 18, 2026, as the deadline for bid submissions. Interested contractors and infrastructure developers can participate in the bidding process in accordance with the authority’s tender requirements.
The project represents a major investment in Andhra Pradesh’s highway infrastructure, with the proposed six-lane corridor expected to play an important role in improving traffic management and regional mobility.
