SunBridge BioEnergy Commences Commercial Ethanol Manufacturing in Madhya Pradesh

Date:

SunBridge BioEnergy, the bioenergy division of SunBridge Group, has commenced commercial production at its grain-based, fuel-grade ethanol manufacturing facility in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh.

Spread across approximately 1,17,560 sq. metres, the Seoni facility has a production capacity of 300 kilolitres per day (KLPD) and a storage capacity of around 11,000 kilolitres. The plant is designed to support the growing demand for ethanol while improving resource utilisation and operational efficiency.

The company is also expanding its production footprint, with its overall ethanol manufacturing capacity expected to increase to 700 KLPD following the development of an upcoming facility in Chhattisgarh.

The Seoni plant has been designed to maximise resource recovery by producing valuable co-products, including Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) and distillers corn oil. These products can be utilised in poultry and cattle feed applications, adding value to the ethanol manufacturing process.

The facility also incorporates advanced water recovery systems and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) technology, aimed at reducing water consumption and minimising liquid waste generation.

The project strengthens SunBridge BioEnergy’s presence in India’s renewable fuels sector while supporting the country’s broader ethanol blending and clean energy objectives.
