RITES has invited bids for the development of campus infrastructure at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhilai in Durg district, Chhattisgarh, as part of Phase-B of the institution’s expansion plans.

The project, estimated at ₹447.66 crore, will involve the construction of dedicated boys’ and girls’ hostels along with residential buildings to support the institute’s growing infrastructure requirements. The contract will be executed under an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Mode-III framework.

In addition to residential and hostel facilities, the planned development will include a range of indoor and outdoor sports facilities, providing enhanced recreational and sporting infrastructure for students and campus residents.

The scope of work also covers external development works, which are expected to support the overall integration and functionality of the expanded campus infrastructure.

The project forms part of the ongoing development of IIT Bhilai’s campus and is expected to strengthen its residential, academic-support and recreational facilities.

Interested bidders are required to submit their proposals by 22 October 2026. The tender is expected to attract infrastructure and construction companies with experience in large-scale institutional and campus development projects.
