Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched an ambitious Rs 12,100 crore infrastructure initiative aimed at transforming Bihar’s transportation landscape. The plan focuses on upgrading both the state’s rail and road networks, paving the way for faster travel, improved safety, and enhanced connectivity.

This landmark investment will be directed toward modernizing key rail corridors, expanding the state’s railway stations, and building critical roadways to ease congestion. The comprehensive development includes new rail lines, track electrification, and multi-lane highways linking major cities and towns.

The government aims to significantly boost the state’s economic growth by reducing travel time, facilitating smoother freight movement, and creating thousands of job opportunities. Bihar’s roadways will also see an overhaul, improving rural-urban connectivity and strengthening trade routes.

Prime Minister Modi emphasized that these infrastructural improvements will bring Bihar into the national mainstream, boosting its economic potential and integrating it more effectively with the rest of India.

The initiative is part of the government’s broader vision of reducing regional disparities and promoting balanced growth.
