Mahindra Group has announced its largest-ever integrated manufacturing facility in Nagpur, marking a transformative construction project for India’s automotive and agricultural sectors.
The ambitious development spans 1,500 acres in Vidarbha, alongside a 150-acre supplier park in Sambhajinagar. Targeted for full commissioning by 2028, the facility will produce over five lakh vehicles and one lakh tractors annually—establishing Mahindra’s biggest production base nationwide.
The automotive division will manufacture vehicles across multiple powertrains including internal combustion engines, electric vehicles, and future technologies, serving domestic and international markets. The tractor segment will strengthen Mahindra’s dominance in farm equipment, addressing growing domestic demand and crucial export opportunities.
Additionally, Mahindra will acquire land in the Igatpuri-Nashik corridor to expand existing production lines and support its Advanced Technology operations.
This comprehensive construction project entails Rs 15,000 crore investment over ten years, involving land acquisition exceeding 2,000 acres across three strategic locations.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis welcomed the initiative, stating this landmark project will create substantial employment, accelerate regional prosperity in Vidarbha and neighboring areas, and reinforce Maharashtra’s status as India’s premier manufacturing destination.
The mega-project underscores Mahindra’s confidence in India’s industrial potential.
