Nebius Launches $3 Billion Fundraise Following Massive Microsoft AI Deal

the AI infrastructure specialist that emerged from Yandex’s international operations—is advancing aggressively with its expansion plans after securing a landmark contract with Microsoft.

The firm revealed plans to raise $3 billion in fresh capital: $2 billion via convertible senior notes and $1 billion through an underwritten public offering of Class A shares. The aim is to scale up its AI cloud services rapidly.

This fundraising announcement comes hot on the heels of Nebius’s blockbuster five-year GPU infrastructure agreement with Microsoft, valued at $17.4 billion, with potential upside to $19.4 billion, depending on demand.

Investor enthusiasm was immediate: Nebius shares soared over 49%—setting new record highs on Nasdaq—and have surged by approximately 245% year-to-date.

CEO Arkady Volozh emphasized that this capital infusion will support accelerated expansion—including buying additional compute hardware and boosting infrastructure capacity—to meet the demands of its massive Microsoft contract and beyond.
