Action Construction Equipment (ACE) has announced a joint venture with Japan-based Kato Works to manufacture high-capacity cranes in India, marking a significant step toward strengthening the country’s heavy equipment manufacturing sector. The partnership aims to combine ACE’s strong domestic presence with Kato Works’ advanced crane technology to produce world-class lifting equipment for both Indian and international markets.
According to company officials, the new venture will focus on developing high-tonnage cranes and specialized lifting solutions to meet the growing demand from infrastructure, construction, energy, and industrial projects. With large-scale developments taking place across India, the need for advanced and reliable heavy machinery has increased substantially in recent years.
The companies stated that manufacturing in India will help reduce costs, improve supply efficiency, and support the government’s Make in India initiative by boosting local production and creating employment opportunities. The joint venture is also expected to strengthen export potential by supplying cranes to global markets from India.
Industry experts believe that collaborations between Indian and international equipment manufacturers will play a key role in supporting future infrastructure growth and technology transfer in the construction machinery sector.
