True Power’s Barabanki 1 GW Solar Panel Project Launched with ₹100 Crore Investment

Date:

True Power Limited today initiated the construction of one of Uttar Pradesh’s largest solar panel manufacturing plants in Barabanki, marking a ₹100 crore investment in the region. The groundbreaking ceremony was led by Managing Director Hari Om Tiwari and Director Shiv Om Tiwari, underscoring the company’s commitment to India’s renewable energy ambitions and the state’s economic growth.

Scheduled for commissioning by late 2026, the state-of-the-art facility will feature automated assembly lines and stringent quality‑assurance protocols. With an annual production capacity of one gigawatt (GW), it will manufacture enough solar panels to power hundreds of thousands of homes, significantly reducing reliance on fossil‑fuel electricity.

The project is expected to generate over 300 direct jobs in manufacturing, engineering, and quality control. It will also spur up to 500 indirect positions in logistics, supply‑chain operations, and ancillary services, invigorating the local economy and supporting small businesses across the region.

Aligned with Uttar Pradesh’s target of 20,000 megawatts (MW) of renewable capacity by 2027, True Power’s Barabanki plant represents a pivotal step in the state’s clean‑energy drive. Founded in 2008, True Power Limited has grown into a leading electrical and solar solutions provider, operating multiple manufacturing units and a nationwide distribution network dedicated to sustainable development.
