Thane to See Major Warehouse Development with ₹2,819 Million Investment

In a significant boost to Maharashtra’s logistics infrastructure, a new warehouse storage building is set to be constructed in Pogaon, Bhiwandi, Thane district. The project, encompassing a built-up area of 50,257.88 square meters, carries an estimated investment of ₹2,819.2 million. Construction is slated to commence in October 2025, with completion anticipated by October 2028.

As of May 2025, the project has been submitted to the State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority for environmental clearance. This development underscores the growing demand for modern warehousing facilities in the region, driven by the expansion of e-commerce and manufacturing sectors.

Bhiwandi, known for its strategic location and connectivity, continues to attract significant investments in logistics and warehousing. This upcoming facility is expected to enhance storage capabilities and streamline supply chain operations in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

The project aligns with the broader trend of infrastructure development in Thane, positioning the district as a pivotal hub for logistics and industrial activities in western India.
