Tata Power Renewables Commissions 431 MW Solar Project in Madhya Pradesh

Date:

Tata Power Renewables Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power, has successfully commissioned a 431 MW DC solar project in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh. Spanning an impressive 1,635.63 acres, the project integrates advanced single-axis trackers with bi-facial modules, setting a new benchmark in India’s renewable energy sector. This innovative design enhances system efficiency by over 15%, extending peak power supply hours and optimizing energy output.

The project represents a critical milestone in India’s transition to green energy, with the potential to offset approximately 7,80,300 tonnes of CO2 annually. It underscores the viability of cost-effective solar energy solutions in advancing sustainability and combating climate change.

This addition boosts TPREL’s total renewable energy portfolio to 10.9 GW, with 5.5 GW in various stages of implementation. The company’s operational capacity has reached 5.4 GW, comprising 4.4 GW from solar projects and one GW from wind energy projects.

As India strives to achieve its renewable energy targets, projects like this highlight the nation’s commitment to a sustainable future. Tata Power Renewables continues to lead the way in deploying innovative technologies that enhance efficiency and contribute to environmental preservation.
