The Odisha government has approved 15 new industrial projects with a total investment of Rs 3,353 crore, which is expected to generate 4,637 jobs. The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting, chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, saw approvals for projects across multiple sectors including chemical/renewable energy, steel, aluminum, food processing, textile, tourism, and pharmaceuticals.
Notable projects include Reliance Bio Energy’s Rs 121.21 crore compressed biogas and organic manure plant in Puri, and Beekay Steel Industries’ Rs 750 crore steel expansion in Cuttack, creating 800 jobs. In the aluminum sector, HM Power and Cables will set up a plant in Jharsuguda with an investment of Rs 55.72 crore, generating 205 jobs. The food processing sector sees a combined investment of Rs 1,542.04 crore from several companies, expected to create 1,358 jobs.
Odisha Textile Manufacturing is investing Rs 51.80 crore in recycled yarn production in Khurda. Additionally, ITC is expanding its five-star hotel in Bhubaneswar with an investment of Rs 119.14 crore, creating 240 jobs. UltraTech Cement’s Rs 372 crore expansion in Cuttack will boost its capacity and create 581 jobs. These projects will contribute significantly to Odisha’s industrial growth and infrastructure development.
