India has voiced strong concern over the recent attacks on energy infrastructure in the Gulf region, calling the developments “deeply disturbing” and warning that such incidents could threaten global energy stability. The Ministry of External Affairs stated that India is closely monitoring the situation, as the Gulf remains one of the most critical sources of crude oil and natural gas for the country.
Officials highlighted that any disruption in energy supply from the region could impact not only India but also the global economy, given the Gulf’s central role in international oil production and shipping routes. India relies heavily on imports from countries in West Asia, making stability in the region essential for energy security and price control.
The government also urged all parties involved to exercise restraint and avoid escalation that could endanger vital infrastructure, including oil fields, refineries, and shipping lanes. Experts believe that continued tensions in the Gulf may lead to fluctuations in crude oil prices, which could directly affect fuel costs and inflation in India.
