Eaton Corporation Begins Construction of ₹200 Crore Facility in Chennai

Date:

US-based power management giant Eaton Corporation has officially commenced construction of its ₹200 crore facility in Sholinganallur, Chennai. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin inaugurated the project, marking a significant milestone in the state’s industrial growth.

The project is a result of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in September 2024 during Stalin’s visit to the United States, where he was accompanied by Industries Minister TRB Rajaa and other key officials. Spanning 1 lakh sq ft, the upcoming facility is projected to create 500 job opportunities upon completion.

Eaton stated that the facility will primarily serve its Crouse-Hinds and B-Line businesses, focusing on delivering sustainable and innovative power management solutions across India. These solutions aim to address energy challenges in hazardous and extreme environments.

The expansion aligns with Eaton’s global mission of advancing digitalisation, electrification, and energy transition. The company emphasized that the new facility will enhance its capabilities in providing cutting-edge solutions driven by sustainability and innovation.

This strategic investment strengthens Eaton’s presence in India and underscores Tamil Nadu’s growing reputation as a hub for industrial and technological development.
