The Bombay High Court has upheld the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation’s (MSRDC) decision to approve MGSA Realty’s proposed integrated logistics park along the Samruddhi Mahamarg. Estimated at ₹2,300 crore, the project spans 167 hectares (423 acres) across four villages and is expected to generate nearly 10,000 direct jobs, marking a significant boost to the state’s logistics and infrastructure ecosystem.
A division bench of Justices R.I. Chagla and Farhan Dubhash dismissed a petition filed by Bhadane Industrial and Logistics Parks and two other firms. The petitioners challenged the September 30, 2024, approval granted to MGSA Realty, alleging that their own proposal—submitted 15 months earlier—was overlooked, while MGSA’s project received clearance “within just 40 days.”
MSRDC, however, clarified that all proposals were evaluated by a high-level committee before being placed before the Board with comprehensive assessment notes. The court concurred, stating that the approval process showed no signs of arbitrariness or discrimination.
With the court’s nod, the MGSA integrated logistics park is expected to move ahead swiftly, strengthening industrial connectivity along the Samruddhi Mahamarg and contributing to regional economic growth.
