AI Surveillance Firm Brihaspathi Raises $10M, Breaks into Maharashtra Road Transport

Date:

Hyderabad‑headquartered Brihaspathi Technologies Limited, an AI‑driven surveillance and security solutions provider, has secured USD 10 million in funding from foreign institutional investors to fuel its expansion plans. The capital will support construction of a 72,000 sq ft CCTV manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, expected to be operational by March 2026 and facilitate the hiring of over 400 new professionals across R&D, production and operations.

In a significant public-sector achievement, Brihaspathi has been awarded a contract by the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) to implement AI-enabled CCTV monitoring systems across its network. With over 1.2 million CCTV cameras already deployed nationwide, spanning Border Security Force borders, classroom monitoring, wildlife parks and mass‑exam surveillance, the company anticipates a 30% revenue boost in the current fiscal year.

Looking ahead, Brihaspathi plans an Initial Public Offering in fiscal 2026–27, with proceeds earmarked for R&D enhancement, manufacturing capacity expansion and scaling its AI‑powered “Made‑in‑India” portfolio. This milestone positions the company as the first Indian security-surveillance firm to attract FII funding, aligning it for greater global impact.
