Ahmedabad Floats ₹149.49 Cr Riverfront Project Construction Tender

Date:

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has announced a major infrastructure project with the issuance of a ₹149.49 crore construction tender aimed at developing roads and associated civic amenities along both banks of the Sabarmati River.

The scope of the project includes the construction of roads, electrical works, storm water drainage systems, and horticulture landscaping. The two key stretches covered are from Sadar Bazar to Indira Bridge on the east bank, and from the railway bridge to Indira Bridge on the west bank.

Designed to strengthen urban connectivity and infrastructure, the project promises to enhance vehicular movement, reduce waterlogging through upgraded drainage, and introduce landscaped green zones for ecological benefit. The electrical works will include modern street lighting and related utilities to improve urban safety and aesthetics.

The construction timeline is set at 24 months, excluding the monsoon period between June 16 and September 15 annually. This integrated approach to urban development reflects AMC’s commitment to sustainable, people-friendly infrastructure.

Interested contractors can submit their bids until September 08, 2025. This riverfront construction project is expected to significantly transform the city’s transport corridors and environmental profile.
