Pai Machines Completes Acquisition of L&T Construction Equipment Manufacturing Facilities

Pai Machines, a new brand under Infra Bazaar Tech, has successfully completed the asset purchase of the machinery works manufacturing facilities of L&T Construction Equipment Limited (LTCEL) for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition, initiated in June 2024, includes the transition of a 70-member manufacturing team, comprising a 40-member R&D and product development unit, to Pai Machines. This strategic move marks Pai Machines’ significant entry into India’s construction equipment sector.

The acquired facility boasts a production capacity exceeding 1,800 units annually, with machinery priced between ₹25 lakh and ₹75 lakh. Currently employing over 300 people, Pai Machines is poised to utilize these resources and expertise to drive innovation in the construction and earthmoving industries.

As part of its expansion strategy, Pai Machines plans to develop next-generation electric equipment, including batching plants, five-tonne wheel loaders, 3.5-tonne mini excavators, and electric tractors for the agricultural sector. The company is also exploring opportunities to penetrate new domestic and international markets, further strengthening its footprint in the construction equipment industry.

This acquisition signals Pai Machines’ commitment to revolutionizing construction technology and advancing sustainable solutions in the infrastructure domain.
