Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to expedite land acquisition and compensation for national highway projects, setting October 2025 as the deadline for completion.
In a video conference with Collectors, Revenue Divisional Officers and other authorities, the CM emphasized the need for a humane approach toward farmers and landowners. He instructed officials to ensure that compensation reaches beneficiaries on time and to clearly explain the long-term benefits of improved connectivity, employment and economic growth that highway projects bring.
The projects marked for priority action include the Regional Ring Road (RRR) North and South corridors, the elevated corridor between Raviryal and Mannanur along the Hyderabad–Srisailam route and several major stretches such as NH-163G, NH-63, NH-563 and NH-167.
The CM also issued a strict warning against negligence, stating that any official causing delays in land acquisition or compensation could face removal from service. He urged departments to work in close coordination to resolve hurdles like forest clearances, arbitration disputes and court cases. As part of this, alternative land may be identified to facilitate compensatory forest development.
By fast-tracking land acquisition and addressing bottlenecks, the Telangana government aims to accelerate infrastructure growth and improve connectivity across the state, ensuring that highway projects are delivered within the stipulated timeline.
