Chennai: RPP Infra Projects Ltd has received a Letter of Acceptance for a new project worth Rs 80.98 crore from the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board. The project aims to enhance water supply infrastructure across multiple areas in Chennai under the Vada Chennai Valarchi Thittam initiative.
The scope of work includes the construction of underground tanks, water distribution stations, and the laying of feeder mains in Areas I and V. Additionally, the project will involve replacing PVC water mains, renewing checked-up water mains, and strengthening various sizes of water mains in depots located in Areas IV and V.
This initiative is expected to significantly improve water distribution efficiency and ensure a more robust supply network for Chennai’s residents. The project aligns with Tamil Nadu’s efforts to modernize and expand urban water infrastructure to meet the city’s growing demands.
