To accommodate the massive influx of devotees on Maha Shivaratri, Indian Railways has announced the operation of over 350 special trains from Prayagraj. The move aims to ensure a smooth travel experience for pilgrims visiting the city, particularly to the revered Kumbh region and temples like Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi.
Maha Shivaratri, a significant Hindu festival, witnesses lakhs of devotees undertaking spiritual journeys to various religious destinations. Anticipating the surge in passengers, the Railways has strategically planned additional trains, particularly on high-demand routes. Enhanced crowd management, additional ticketing counters, and security arrangements will also be in place to facilitate hassle-free travel.
The initiative aligns with the Railways’ commitment to supporting pilgrimage travel during major festivals. Passengers are advised to check train schedules in advance and plan their journeys accordingly.
