Date:

OpenText, a global leader in information management, has bolstered its presence in India with the expansion of its Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. The new facility, inaugurated on November 28, 2024, can accommodate 700 employees, adding to the company’s robust Indian workforce of 4,500 in the city.

The Bengaluru CoE plays a critical role in OpenText’s operations, with its engineering and services teams driving advancements in AI, content management, customer experience, business networks, cybersecurity, and DevOps across the company’s cloud platforms. Notably, the CoE has spearheaded the development of Aviators, an enterprise AI platform central to OpenText’s innovation strategy.

OpenText’s expansion in India has been fueled by both organic growth and acquisitions, including the recent acquisition of Micro Focus. This move has nearly doubled its talent pool and significantly broadened its customer base in the region. The Bengaluru team has seen a remarkable 194% growth over the past two years.

With India housing 6,000 of OpenText’s 9,000 global engineers, the country is a hub for global innovation. OpenText projects 60% AI-driven value addition in sectors such as BFSI, healthcare, and automotive manufacturing, highlighting its commitment to leveraging AI for transformative industry solutions.
