The Odisha Construction Corporation has issued a tender for a ₹553.34 crore infrastructure project to construct an in-stream storage structure (ISS) across the Tel River at Kukedmal in Bolangir district. The project is aimed at improving water resource management, flood moderation, and delivering long-term socio-economic benefits to the region.
The contract includes comprehensive execution of civil and hydro-mechanical works, power and road connectivity, staff accommodation, and all related surveys, investigations, planning, design, and cost estimation. The scope further covers operation and maintenance (O&M) for five years or five flood seasons—whichever is longer—after the project is successfully commissioned.
The project is to be completed within 36 calendar months, including rainy seasons. The ISS is expected to strengthen the state’s infrastructure and water resilience, particularly in flood-prone areas.
Eligible contractors and firms are invited to submit their bids by the deadline of 15 September 2025. The project aligns with Odisha’s broader strategy to develop sustainable and integrated water infrastructure, promoting both environmental and economic stability in the region.
