The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has introduced 115 new buses to strengthen public transport services across the state. The new fleet includes Karnataka Sarige buses and Pallakki sleeper buses, aimed at improving connectivity between major cities and towns while providing more comfortable travel options for passengers.
These buses will operate on several key routes connecting important destinations such as Mysuru, Mangaluru, Udupi, Chikkamagaluru, Raichur, Hyderabad, Chennai, Panaji and Madurai. With the addition of these buses, passengers are expected to experience better availability of seats, reduced waiting time and smoother travel on long-distance routes.
Transport officials stated that the expansion is part of a larger plan to upgrade and modernize the state’s public transport system. KSRTC is planning to add more buses in the coming months, including vehicles for both city and rural services, to meet the growing demand for reliable transportation.
The newly launched buses are designed to offer safer and more efficient travel, especially for daily commuters and long-distance passengers. Improved seating, better maintenance and increased frequency of services are expected to enhance the overall passenger experience.
With this addition, Karnataka continues to focus on strengthening its transport network and making public travel more accessible, comfortable and dependable for people across the state.
