Kshema Power Wins ₹108 Crore Project for Construction of 400kV Transmission Line in Andhra Pradesh

Date:

Chennai-based Kshema Power has secured a ₹108 crore project for the construction of a 400kV transmission line in Ananthapuram district, Andhra Pradesh. The 42-km single-circuit line, mounted on double-circuit towers, will evacuate power from a one-gigawatt (GW) wind farm, serving as a critical link in the state’s renewable energy expansion.

The project marks Kshema Power’s return to the extra high-voltage (EHV) transmission segment. The company will oversee the entire project lifecycle, including design approvals, material procurement, civil works, tower erection, regulatory clearances, testing, and final commissioning.

Specialised teams will be deployed to ensure smooth execution with a strong focus on safety and quality standards. Once completed, the line is expected to significantly enhance renewable energy evacuation and grid stability in Andhra Pradesh.

Industry experts view the initiative as a strategic step toward integrating large-scale renewable energy into India’s national grid. With growing investments in green power, the project underscores the importance of robust transmission infrastructure to support the country’s clean energy targets.

Kshema Power’s successful execution of this construction project could position the firm as a competitive player in India’s EHV transmission space, while reinforcing Andhra Pradesh’s role in advancing renewable integration.
