JSW Infrastructure has completed the full acquisition of three rail logistics subsidiaries, consolidating ownership and strengthening its integrated multimodal logistics strategy. The move is aimed at enhancing end-to-end connectivity between ports, industrial clusters, and hinterland markets.
With 100% control, JSW Infrastructure plans to streamline operations, improve asset utilisation, and accelerate decision-making across its rail logistics network. The subsidiaries operate key rail-linked assets that support bulk cargo movement, including coal, iron ore, steel, and other commodities critical to India’s industrial supply chains.
Company officials said the consolidation will enable closer coordination between port operations and rail evacuation, reducing turnaround times and logistics costs for customers. The integration is also expected to support capacity expansion, network optimisation, and technology upgrades across rail-linked terminals and corridors.
Industry analysts view the acquisition as a strategic step as India pushes for multimodal logistics efficiency under national programmes aimed at lowering logistics costs and improving competitiveness.
