In recent days, the conversation surrounding Industry 4.0 in India has gained significant momentum, particularly as the country aims to strengthen its manufacturing sector and align with global standards. The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) and Capgemini recently highlighted the potential of digital transformation in manufacturing through their report, “India Industry 4.0 Adoption: A Case to Mature Manufacturing Digitalization by 2025.” This study emphasizes the necessity for increased investment in foundational technologies and skill development to enhance the manufacturing landscape.
According to the report, India’s manufacturing sector is set to contribute significantly to the national GDP, with projections indicating a target of 25% by FY26. This growth is crucial as the nation aspires to elevate its manufacturing output to $1.1 trillion.
