Historic Milestone for J&K: Jitendra Singh Celebrates Inauguration of Jammu Railway Division

In a monumental development for Jammu and Kashmir, Union Minister Jitendra Singh hailed the inauguration of the new Jammu Railway Division as a transformative milestone in the region’s connectivity and rail infrastructure. This historic step aims to enhance transportation networks, boost regional trade, and bring J&K closer to the rest of India.

The newly established Jammu Railway Division, carved out of the Firozpur Division, is designed to better address the unique geographic and operational challenges of the region. It will streamline railway services, improve freight management, and accelerate the completion of key projects like the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link.

Speaking at the inauguration, Minister Singh emphasized the strategic importance of this initiative in realizing the “New India” vision, stating, “The Jammu Railway Division is not just an infrastructure upgrade; it’s a bridge to opportunity, growth, and prosperity for the people of J&K.”
