CtrlS Datacenters plans to invest Rs 10,000 crore to develop a 150 MW hyperscale artificial intelligence (AI) factory in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, marking a significant proposed investment in the state’s digital infrastructure.
The company has signed a letter of intent (LoI) with the Government of Bihar for the proposed greenfield project. The development is expected to support growing demand for AI computing capacity and advanced digital infrastructure.
The announcement coincided with the inauguration of CtrlS Datacenters’ new Rs 400 crore AI and cloud-ready data centre in Patliputra Industrial Area, Patna. The facility has an initial IT load capacity of 12 MW and provisions for future expansion to accommodate rising demand. Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary attended the inauguration ceremony.
The proposed AI factory in Bodh Gaya would add to the company’s infrastructure expansion plans as businesses increasingly adopt artificial intelligence, cloud computing and data-intensive technologies.
CtrlS Datacenters is also planning to establish more than 20 edge data centres across Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities in India. The expansion strategy reflects the growing importance of distributed computing infrastructure and improved digital connectivity beyond major metropolitan markets.
These initiatives highlight the increasing investment in India’s data centre sector, driven by demand for AI workloads, cloud services and digital transformation. The proposed Bihar project could further strengthen the state’s position in the country’s expanding digital infrastructure ecosystem.
