The Central Public Works Department (CPWD) has invited bids for the planning, designing, and construction of the Southern Regional Load Dispatch Centre (SRLDC) at the Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) campus in Sadashivanagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
The project, valued at Rs 141.63 crore, involves the construction of a state-of-the-art facility, including a basement, ancillary structures, site development, and specialised works. Additionally, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services, along with necessary local body approvals, will be undertaken for the GRID Controller of India.
The completion timeline for the project has been set at 18 months from the commencement date. The SRLDC is expected to play a crucial role in ensuring efficient power grid management in the southern region, enhancing energy transmission and reliability.
Interested bidders must submit their proposals by 26 March 2025. The project is anticipated to boost power infrastructure development in Bengaluru and strengthen India’s electricity distribution network.
