CM Yogi Adityanath Envisions Projects in Gorakhpur

Date:

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the Veterinary Science College under construction in Tal Nadaur, Gorakhpur, along with the proposed International Cricket Stadium, will be developed as a model pilot project. During his visit, CM Yogi reviewed the designs and progress of the Veterinary Science College, International Cricket Stadium, and Kanha Gaushala, a project spanning 250-300 acres.

The Veterinary Science College, the first in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, is being built in three phases at an estimated cost of over ₹350 crore, with the first phase allocated ₹277.31 crore. The campus will feature modern facilities, including a multi-story academic block, hospital block, residential hostels, and research centres. The project incorporates a ‘Net Zero Energy’ concept, ensuring sustainability.

PWD officials reported the college’s first phase is expected to complete by March 2026. Additionally, a new International Cricket Stadium is planned across 80-100 acres, and a Gaushala will be developed on 52 acres by CNDS.

To improve connectivity, a four-lane road will be built, linking the college to the Gorakhpur-Varanasi highway, with ₹3.84 crore allocated for land acquisition.

The initiative aims to establish Gorakhpur as a hub for education, sports, and sustainable development, setting a benchmark for integrated growth.
