Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has approved the formation of the AP Logistics Infrastructure Corporation (APLIC), a major step toward strengthening the state’s logistics and supply chain ecosystem. The new corporation will serve as the central agency for planning, developing, and managing world-class logistics infrastructure across Andhra Pradesh.
Officials noted that APLIC will focus on building integrated logistics parks, modern warehousing hubs, cold-chain systems, and multimodal transport facilities. The initiative is expected to streamline freight movement, reduce logistics costs, and improve the overall efficiency of supply chains for industries operating within the state.
The corporation will also work closely with private players, national agencies, and global logistics partners to bring in cutting-edge technologies, automation, and digital tracking systems. With Andhra Pradesh aiming to position itself as a preferred manufacturing and export destination, enhanced logistics capacity is seen as essential for attracting large investments.
CM Naidu emphasised that India’s economic growth is deeply tied to efficient logistics networks, and Andhra Pradesh must stay ahead by creating robust, future-ready infrastructure. Industry experts believe the formation of APLIC will significantly boost business competitiveness and support the state’s long-term vision of becoming a major logistics hub in South India.
