Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on June 23 laid the foundation stone for multiple infrastructure projects valued at ₹550 crore in Aska, Ganjam district. Announced during the Yuba Shakti Samabesh (Youth Empowerment conclave) marking the state government’s first anniversary, the initiatives include five irrigation systems spanning 5,845 ha, a road-widening initiative and a strategically located high‑level bridge.

CM Majhi also instructed officials to draft a revised DPR for the sacred Tara Tarini Temple, signalling a boost for religious tourism. He further revealed plans for a “world-class” Industrial Training Institute aimed at empowering youth aged 25–35 with industry-relevant skills. To assist students from socially and economically backward classes (SEBC), the government has implemented 11.25% reservation in education and opened 28,346 government positions, alongside generating over 110,000 industrial jobs and committing to an additional 40,000 government jobs this year.

In sports, Majhi announced a massive ₹4,100 crore allocation to develop stadiums in every block, encouraging youth to embrace athletic careers. He urged them to contribute to Odisha’s development vision for 2036 and India’s for 2047. The event was attended by senior ministers, MPs, MLAs and local dignitaries.
