CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd. has secured a ₹450 crore contract from Kinet Railway Solutions Limited to supply essential components for 10 Vande Bharat trainsets. This agreement encompasses propulsion kits, motors, transformers, and other critical parts, along with a 35-year service commitment, underscoring CG Power’s dedication to India’s railway modernization efforts.
Beyond railways, CG Power is venturing into the semiconductor sector. The company acquired Renesas Electronics’ Radio Frequency components business for $36 million, gaining valuable intellectual property and expertise. It has also launched a subsidiary, CG Semi Private Ltd., and is investing ₹7,600 crore in a semiconductor assembly and testing facility in Sanand, Gujarat, supported by a ₹3,501 crore government subsidy.
These strategic initiatives have strengthened CG Power’s market position, reflected in a 32.65% stock surge over the past year.
