Centre Clears ₹1,914.71 Cr for 40 Key Road Projects in Rajasthan

Date:

The Central Government has sanctioned ₹1,914.71 crore for 40 major road projects in Rajasthan under the Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF), the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) announced.

Spanning nearly 1,000 km, these projects include 31 major district roads, eight state highways, and one other district road. The approved work involves road strengthening, widening, and key structural upgrades aimed at improving road quality, safety, and capacity.

According to MoRTH, the projects will enhance regional connectivity, reduce travel time, and promote smoother movement of freight and passengers. This is expected to improve accessibility to markets and essential services across both rural and urban areas.

The Rajasthan government hailed the decision, emphasizing that these infrastructure projects will significantly contribute to industrial growth, job creation, and regional development.

With improved road networks, the state anticipates a positive impact on sectors like logistics, agriculture, and tourism—helping Rajasthan strengthen its economic backbone while improving overall quality of life.
