Ceigall Infra Projects, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ceigall India, has secured a Letter of Award (LoA) from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for a major four-lane highway project in Bihar.
The project entails upgrading the Sahebganj–Areraj–Bettiah stretch of NH139W, spanning a total length of 78.942 km. The corridor is split into two sections — Sahebganj to Areraj (38.362 km) and Areraj to Bettiah (40.580 km).
Valued at ₹2,160 crore, the project will be executed under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM). Construction is slated for completion within 24 months, after which a 15-year operation and maintenance (O&M) period will follow.
The highway holds significant strategic importance for the region. Once operational, it is expected to strengthen regional connectivity, improve road safety, and enable faster movement of goods and passengers across Bihar. The development is also anticipated to provide a meaningful boost to the state’s economic growth by easing logistics and enhancing infrastructure.
This order further reinforces Ceigall India’s growing footprint in India’s road infrastructure sector.
