CAG’s Wake-Up Call for Delhi Construction Workers

Date:

The recent audit by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has shown some important gaps in how welfare schemes for construction workers are being used in Delhi. While the government has taken steps to register workers and give them benefits, many still do not receive the help they need. This shows that more care is needed to make sure every worker gets their rights.

Construction workers work very hard, often in tough conditions. They help build the city we live in and we must make sure their welfare is not forgotten. It is good that the CAG has brought this to light so that the government and departments can now work better.

With improved planning and proper use of funds, we can ensure that every registered worker gets the support they deserve. Let this be a chance to build a stronger, fairer system for the workers who build our city every day.
