The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has floated a tender for the construction of flood protection structures for stormwater drains (SWDs) in the Dasarahalli Zone under Package-1 of the Karnataka Water Security and Resilience Programme (KWSRP).
The project, valued at ₹166.38 crore, is part of an externally funded initiative supported by the World Bank, aimed at improving water infrastructure and enhancing flood resilience in Bengaluru. The scope of work includes the construction of reinforced cement concrete (RCC) retaining walls, water retention structures, nature-based solution structures, and culverts to manage stormwater and mitigate flooding risks.
This move comes as part of the state’s broader commitment to building sustainable urban infrastructure and enhancing climate resilience through innovative engineering and environmentally friendly designs.
Interested bidders are required to submit their proposals by 15 April 2025, as per the tender notification issued by BBMP.
