Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Unveils New Bridge in Lakhimpur, Boosts Infrastructure Development

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Lakhimpur district to unveil a significant development initiative aimed at enhancing the state’s road network. As part of the ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure, the Assam government is constructing over 1,000 bridges across the state to ensure better connectivity and to support regional growth.

The Chief Minister emphasized that these bridges will not only strengthen the transportation system but also drive economic development in remote areas. He highlighted the government’s commitment to modernizing Assam’s infrastructure to meet the demands of growing urbanization and improve the quality of life for its residents.

In addition to the infrastructure projects, the state government has announced plans to host the Advantage Assam 2.0 investor summit in February 2025. This event is expected to attract both national and international investors, showcasing Assam as a hub for investment opportunities and sustainable development. The summit is poised to foster business growth and pave the way for new partnerships that will contribute to the state’s economic progress.

With these initiatives, the Assam government is laying the foundation for a robust, future-ready economy driven by better infrastructure and increased investment opportunities.
