Narela’s 4,000 sqm Smart Bus Terminal Ready in Just 100 Days

Delhi Transport Minister Pankaj Singh has inaugurated a state-of-the-art bus terminal in Narela, spanning 4,000 sq m near Urban Transportation Road‑11, developed in a record time of 100 days. This ultra-modern facility enhances both passenger and driver experience with three dedicated bays, two large sheds (34 m and 40 m), designated parking, a spacious canteen, clean and accessible toilets, RO drinking-water stations and built-in electric charging infrastructure.

A majority of buses deployed from Narela will be electric, linking significant hubs such as Old Delhi Railway Station, Mori Gate, Delhi Secretariat, Uttam Nagar, Dayalu Colony and border areas, bolstering last-mile connectivity in North‑West Delhi while driving the city’s clean-transport agenda. In a complementary boost, Delhi Transport Corporation is adding 150 new DEVI electric buses this month, featuring modern amenities like CCTV, panic buttons, GPS tracking, real-time passenger information systems, air-conditioning and accessibility provisions for differently-abled commuters.

This development aligns with the “Viksit Delhi Sankalp Patra – 2025” vision to modernize public transport in pursuit of a greener, more efficient, accessible and inclusive capital—moving Delhi closer to being a “Viksit Desh ki Viksit Rajdhani.”
