Nemetschek Invests in AI Construction Platform Handoff to Empower Contractors

Date:

The Nemetschek Group, a global leader in AEC and media software, announced a strategic investment in Handoff, a U.S.-based AI-driven operations platform designed for contractors.

Founded in 2019, Handoff enables remodelers and small construction contractors to automate core business functions—including estimating, proposals, client management, and invoicing—without complex setup. The platform serves over 10,000 monthly active users processing an estimated $6 billion in annualized project volume.

Leveraging real-time supplier pricing data, Handoff instantly generates accurate project estimates and automates back-office tasks while maintaining transparency and minimal overhead. “Our mission is to put real-time construction data and smart AI agents in the hands of contractors,” said Dmitry Alexin, Handoff’s CEO.

The new funding will accelerate Handoff’s product roadmap, add advanced platform features, and support its international expansion. Tanja Kufner, Head of Startups & Venture Investments at Nemetschek, noted the investment aligns with the Group’s digital transformation strategy aimed at empowering small and medium-sized construction firms.

This move marks a milestone in Nemetschek’s venture strategy, reinforcing its position as a technology enabler across the construction lifecycle and supporting scalable innovation in contractor operations.
