India and South Korea Collaborate to Enhance Logistics Infrastructure Under PM GatiShakti Initiative

In a significant move to bolster India’s logistics framework, India and South Korea have joined forces to enhance infrastructure development under the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan. The collaboration aims to streamline supply chains, reduce logistics costs, and boost trade efficiency between the two nations.

According to official sources, the partnership will focus on knowledge-sharing, digital integration, and policy enhancements to modernize India’s logistics sector. South Korea, known for its advanced logistics solutions and smart infrastructure, will contribute expertise in supply chain optimization, port modernization, and multimodal connectivity.

The Indian government has been actively working towards reducing logistics costs to 8-10% of GDP, aligning with global standards. PM GatiShakti, a ₹100 lakh crore initiative, aims to integrate multiple modes of transport for seamless connectivity, attracting foreign investments and strengthening trade corridors.

Experts believe this Indo-Korean collaboration will accelerate infrastructure development, enhance efficiency, and improve last-mile connectivity. With South Korea’s technological prowess and India’s vast market, the initiative is expected to boost manufacturing competitiveness and support economic growth.

The agreement underscores India’s commitment to building a robust logistics ecosystem, positioning the nation as a global trade hub in the coming years.
