India Budget 2025: Tech Takes Centre Stage with AI and Infrastructure Boost

Date:

The Union Budget 2025 has placed a strong emphasis on technology and infrastructure, with significant investments in artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation, and smart infrastructure. The government’s focus on emerging technologies aims to position India as a global leader in AI innovation while strengthening the country’s digital economy.

A key highlight of the budget is the allocation of funds for AI research, skilling programs, and AI-driven solutions in governance, healthcare, and finance. The initiative aligns with India’s vision to develop homegrown AI capabilities and enhance public services through automation and machine learning.

In addition to AI, the budget prioritizes infrastructure expansion, with a focus on smart cities, high-speed internet, and digital connectivity across urban and rural areas. The government’s ₹10 lakh crore asset monetisation plan and ₹1.5 lakh crore interest-free loans to states will drive large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring economic growth and employment generation.

With AI and infrastructure playing a pivotal role in India’s long-term growth strategy, the 2025 budget underscores the country’s commitment to technological leadership and sustainable development, making it a transformative year for the nation’s digital and physical infrastructure.
