Indore to Begin Development of Multi-Model Logistic Park by End of 2024

Date:

Indore, one of central India’s key commercial hubs, is set to witness a major boost in logistics infrastructure with the development of a Multi-Modal Logistic Park (MMLP) slated to begin by the end of 2024. The project, aimed at enhancing connectivity and streamlining freight movement, will be developed under the Government of India’s National Logistics Policy.

The MMLP will integrate multiple modes of transportation, including road, rail, and air, to optimize the movement of goods across the region. This facility is expected to significantly reduce transportation costs, improve efficiency, and promote seamless trade between Indore and other major cities. Once completed, it will help businesses in Madhya Pradesh tap into global supply chains more effectively, providing enhanced logistics services to manufacturers and exporters.

The park will also create thousands of direct and indirect jobs, contributing to the region’s economic growth. With its strategic location, close to key industrial corridors and major highways, the MMLP is poised to become a pivotal infrastructure asset for India’s growing logistics sector. The government is keen to accelerate the development of such facilities to improve India’s logistics performance globally. The development is expected to transform Indore into a key logistics and supply chain hub in central India.
