HD Construction Equipment is strengthening its presence in India with plans to raise approximately 88 billion won through a new share issue by its Indian subsidiary.
The funds will be used entirely for facility investments, including the development of a new industrial vehicle production base and a research and development centre. Around 48 billion won is planned for the production facility through 2030, while nearly 40 billion won will be invested in the R&D centre between 2027 and 2030.
The investment is expected to establish an annual production capacity of up to 5,000 industrial vehicles by 2030. The new facility will serve India’s growing domestic market while also supporting exports to emerging markets in neighbouring regions.
The company is also planning to strengthen its local research capabilities by leveraging India’s engineering and technical talent. This is expected to help develop products suited to regional demand and enhance the company’s global competitiveness.
India’s expanding transportation, logistics and infrastructure sectors are creating stronger demand for industrial vehicles and construction equipment. The Indian industrial vehicle market is expected to maintain steady growth in the coming years.
With the latest investment, HD Construction Equipment aims to make India a key production, R&D and export hub for its global industrial vehicle business.
