Bengaluru Integrated Rail Infrastructure Development Enterprise (Bi-RIDE) has invited bids for Corridor-2 Package-1 under the Bengaluru Suburban Transport Project (BSTP). The contract, valued at approximately Rs 671.65 crore, involves the development of major elevated rail infrastructure aimed at improving the city’s suburban connectivity.
The project scope includes the construction of a 7.795-km elevated viaduct between Benniganahalli and Shettyhalli, along with ramps, road-over-rail bridges, foot overbridges, multimodal integration facilities, and other related infrastructure works. One of the key highlights of this package is the development of a double-decker rail-cum-road flyover between chainage 14+562.903 and 15+680.447, designed to optimize urban transport infrastructure in a space-constrained city environment.
Additionally, the package includes the construction of a double-decker station at Mathikere, Y-loop ramps, and BSTP viaduct ramps at Benniganahalli, Hebbal, and Shettyhalli. Partial substructure works for Corridor-1 near Yeshwanthpur are also part of the contract scope.
The project is expected to be completed within 24 months from the date of award. Interested bidders must submit their proposals by June 29, 2026. The project marks another significant step in strengthening Bengaluru’s public transportation network and reducing urban congestion.
