Global technology and engineering leader ZF Group unveiled its latest suite of industrial solutions tailored for India’s mining sector during the 10th edition of IME 2025, held from October 30 to November 2 in Kolkata.
At its exhibition stand, ZF highlighted critical components for large-scale mining and construction machinery — including drive, swing and pump distribution gearboxes engineered to handle extreme loads while delivering compact form, precise control and high power output. The company’s TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) gearbox systems were also featured, showcasing adaptability for tunnelling applications in India’s expanding infrastructure network.
Complementing its hardware suite, ZF emphasised its digital and service ecosystem through the ProVID condition-monitoring platform, which enables continuous tracking and analytics of powertrain performance. The initiative is aimed at extending equipment life, reducing downtime and improving operational efficiency — a critical demand in India’s rough-terrain mining and construction operating environments.
“India’s mining and infrastructure sectors demand not just heavy-duty hardware but smart, sustainable solutions,” said Akash Passey, President of ZF Group India. “Our IME 2025 showcase reflects ZF’s commitment to advancing productivity, safety and lifecycle value for customers in India’s challenging operating conditions.”
With rapid infrastructure expansion underway across India, ZF’s tailored approach — combining globally proven systems and local industrial support — positions the company as a key enabler of next-generation mining and construction equipment in the region.
