Univastu India Lands Two Major Sports Projects in Maharashtra

Date:

Univastu India, a leading name in infrastructure and EPC, has won two high-value sports facility contracts in Maharashtra that align with India’s ambition to host future Olympic Games. The first contract comes from the Public Works Department (West), Satara, to build the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Sports Complex in Karad. Valued at ₹88.03 crore, this facility will be developed for the Karad Municipal Council and is slated for completion within 24 months, excluding monsoon interruptions.

The second contract, awarded by the Divisional Sports Complex Committee in Jalgaon, is more extensive and carries a project value of ₹244.31 crore. This Divisional Sports Complex is expected to be ready in 36 months, excluding delays due to rainfall. Both projects are designed to provide world-class training venues for athletes and support Maharashtra’s broader vision of nurturing Olympic-level talent.

“These state-of-the-art facilities are more than just construction projects; they are an expression of India’s Olympic aspirations,” said Pradeep Khandagale, Chairman & Managing Director of Univastu India. He added that completing these complexes on schedule will strengthen local sports infrastructure and offer athletes modern amenities for rigorous training.

With work set to begin soon, Univastu India’s achievement underlines the state’s commitment to elevating its sports infrastructure and positioning itself as a center for athletic excellence.
