As Telangana gears up for Bathukamma and Dasara, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) is deploying 7,754 special buses to meet the expected passenger surge. The services will run from September 20 to October 2, with extra buses arranged for return journeys on October 5 and 6.
To make travel smoother, 377 of these buses will be available for advance bookings. Destinations include major bus stations such as MGBS, JBS and CBS, along with key boarding points in Hyderabad including LB Nagar, Uppal, Dilsukhnagar, Aramghar, Santosh Nagar and KPHB Colony. The network will connect high-traffic areas across Telangana and also serve neighbouring states like Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra.
TSRTC has announced that revised fares will apply on high-demand dates: September 20, September 27 to 30, October 1, 5 and 6. On other days, regular fares will be charged. Compared to last year, the operation has added 617 more buses, reflecting the increased demand during the festive season.
At busy transit hubs, temporary passenger facilities such as seating arrangements, drinking water and public address systems will be set up for smoother travel. Passengers can book tickets in advance through the TSRTC website or via the helpline numbers 040-69440000 and 23450033.
