In recent developments in India’s manufacturing sector, Tata Electronics is set to launch its new iPhone manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, this November. This ambitious project, with an investment of ₹6,000 crore, aims to create around 50,000 jobs, primarily for women. The plant will enhance Apple’s manufacturing footprint in India, being its fourth assembly site in the country. Tata’s facility will also play a crucial role in localizing the supply chain for Apple, which seeks to diversify its production beyond China.
